    The Foxtrot has rail key/insert i.e. "1913" or "other", as well as sliding adjustment with settings 1-4. We need to know how you have yours setup as well as what rail slot the key/insert is in with #1 being at the barrel end of the gun, #2,3, etc. moving toward the trigger.

    The rail key/insert is the small piece of plastic that came with your light/laser that fits into the rail of the gun to position the light/laser. You will need to remove the light/laser from the handgun to read the stamped letter or number on it.

    Hellcat with Olight Information: READ!If you are configuring a Hellcat with an O'Light, you'll notice it doesn't mount correctly. It sits crooked. To fix this, remove the O'light rail key/insert and then only replace the screws, NO rail key/insert. The screws will fit in the gun rail better, allowing the laser to sit straight. ✴ Equipped with the Tek-Lok, the holster will sit further away from your body than the paddle, therefore, making it more visible/less concealable.  It is better suited for open carry or a range holster.  Although the Hastings is not designed specifically to be a “concealment” holster like our “8 Mile” IWB model, the paddle option makes it a bit more concealable than the Tek-Lok. 

Tek-Lok is a secure, innovative, and versatile latching attachment system. The engineers and product developers reworked its functional ability to add more utility and ease of use. The Tek-Lok has also been contoured to fit the profile of the body better and eliminate hot spots. The new Tek-Lok is held in place by two robust retaining tabs. A user-friendly, integrated secondary locking system was also built into the redesigned Tek-Lok. With the simple motion of a thumb or finger, the redundant lock rotates out of the way to allow the user to pinch the retaining tabs and conveniently remove the Tek-Lok from the belt. It is readily adjustable to accommodate belts from 2.25″ down to 1.25″.

LEVEL-2 RETENTION OPTIONS

  • Since our holsters are Level-1 retention/friction-fit, you may want to consider configuring your METRO with our Level-2 retention hood – ESPECIALLY if you have a laser/light installed as most retention in this scenario is on the light/laser vs. the trigger guard (i.e. even less retention than a gun not equipped with light/laser).
      • Thumb Release Hood
        • The thumb release is perfectly sized and positioned for repeatable positive activation of the release while securing a firm grip all in one single motion. No additional grip adjustments need to be made prior to or after the drawing of the pistol.

The smooth action thumb release activates the spring-loaded hood in a fraction of a second. This allows for the pistol to be immediately drawn as soon as the grip is secure. Much different from other designs which require the depressing of the lock release followed by a forward movement by the user to secure the grip.

The rearward unlocking motion saves valuable spacing between the retention system and the mounting platform. Because it doesn’t require the thumb to push down and outward (toward the body), this retention is ideal for mounting on a chest rig/vest carrier system.
