The DETROIT POCKET HOLSTER “JOHN R“ is ideal for concealed carry of smaller frame handguns such as the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 or the Ruger LCP. The pants you wear must also have enough room in the pockets to comfortably conceal the firearm. If you wear looser pant styles, or cargo pants with multiple pockets this might be a comfortable option for you.

    The Foxtrot has rail key/insert i.e. "1913" or "other", as well as sliding adjustment with settings 1-4. We need to know how you have yours setup as well as what rail slot the key/insert is in with #1 being at the barrel end of the gun, #2,3, etc. moving toward the trigger.

    The rail key/insert is the small piece of plastic that came with your light/laser that fits into the rail of the gun to position the light/laser. You will need to remove the light/laser from the handgun to read the stamped letter or number on it.

    Hellcat with Olight Information: READ!If you are configuring a Hellcat with an O'Light, you'll notice it doesn't mount correctly. It sits crooked. To fix this, remove the O'light rail key/insert and then only replace the screws, NO rail key/insert. The screws will fit in the gun rail better, allowing the laser to sit straight. More trigger guard protection and user-adjustable retention

✴ Made with one solid piece of .08 Kydex providing a great balance of definition and durability.

✴ Black Calcutta (flat black) is the standard color (other colors are available as an upgrade).

✴ All edges are rounded, hand-sanded, and polished smooth for maximum comfort.

✴ Kydex is formed the full length of the slide on both sides of the handgun.

✴ Hook (configuration option) end has contour/arch to better-fit leg contour.
– The hook is designed to grab the corner of the pocket upon drawing the handgun separating the holster from the gun.
– If the “no hook” design is chosen, the holster is a bit more streamlined and the operator would rely on
the leverage of the “thumb pad” to draw the handgun while in the pocket.

    “I received my holster today and man I am impressed. As a person who has many different holsters (multiple Raven Concealment and Blade-Tech holsters along with all the other usual suspects) this one is now one of my favorites. Ironically today I received a custom holster from Raven Concealment for a Glock 34 with a surefire X400. I ordered that holster from them 3/12/2013 and that one like the one you made for my Sig 938 were custom orders not quick ship items. Let me say you got my holster to me faster than they can with their “in stock” items I have ordered in the past.

    The fit and retention on yours is perfect and Im sure my neighbors now think Im crazy since they all saw me in my garage drawing my Sig out of my pocket testing how the hook would work and every time it functioned flawlessly.

    As a typical person who does not like to wait for anything thank you for being so fast with your turn around. I can’t even get Blade-Tech to make a holster that fast and they are literally 3 miles away from me.

    “Got my holster today and I COULDN’T be more pleased. For the last couple of years I have been carrying a snubby revolver as my concealed sidearm. During winter I was using a Desantis SuperFly in a coat pocket (straight drop in). In the spring I moved to a Glock 23. With winter approaching I was looking for a holster. Was considering the Desantis BUT I REALLY prefer the clean, tight fit of Kydex. I was getting ready to settle for the Desantis but did one more web search on pocket holsters for Glock. Decided to look at images and that’s were I found an image of the “John R”.

    When I ordered I was thinking the thumb tab would be handy for my thumb, but it turns out that the way the pocket flap on my coat is constructed that all I have to do is grab the grip, press in to my side slightly while drawing and the thumb tab hangs on the seam. FANTASTIC!

    Just received the John R for my Glock 26. I’ve tried many pocket holsters, this one is by far the best I’ve tried. Perfect fit on the gun, and a perfect fit in the pocket, I also like the fact that the muzzle end is closed, this should lessen the collection of lint, etc.
    Full, safe gun coverage, great fit….what else could you ask for?
